Hope House go Gung-Ho to raise charity cash!

Gung HoStaff from Hope House, one of our North-East specialist care homes for people with learning disabilities, have gone Gung-Ho to raise cash for charity.

The team from Hartlepool limbered up for their challenge at the Gung-Ho event, which saw them tackle a 5km inflatable assault course all in the name of charity.

The event took place at Wynyard Hall, near Billingham in Teesside, and all proceeds will go towards Children in Need and autism awareness. The gung-ho heroes raised a total of more than £400 for their chosen good causes – well done everyone!

Some of the obstacles the Hope House team faced included a giant ball pit, an inflatable water slide, the biggest inflatable slide in Europe and a 10ft inflatable wall.

Manager Lorna Taggart said, “We had all been in training for this event and we flew the Danshell flag by wearing our t-shirts. It was all for a good cause and we thought it was a good way to raise money while having fun. And while it was tough, it was lots of fun too!”
