Danshell Group is to integrate with Cygnet Health Care, allowing enhanced care pathways for people with a learning disability or autism.
Cygnet Health Care acquired Danshell Group towards the end of last year and we are now considerably underway with the process of integration. Cygnet, established in 1988, supports and cares for individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities in 136 services throughout the UK.
With the addition of the 25 Danshell services, this now enables Cygnet to offer a broader range of specialist Learning Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder services within both England and Scotland. As a larger group we are now able to provide enhanced care pathways for the people we support, leading to shorter lengths of stay in accordance with the Transforming Care Programme.
The Danshell services will be officially re-branded Cygnet Health Care in mid-2019 and plan to maintain their same operational structure. Customer contracts will be merged for the 20/21 contract year. Our services will continue to work closely with service users, families, referrers and our customers to ensure transparency in everything we do.
"The Danshell network of facilities has a strong reputation for providing compassionate behavioural health care with respect and dignity as evidenced by the high quality ratings deemed by CQC.
