Danshell Learning Disability and Autism Services 

Danshell supports and cares for adults living with a learning disability or autism in specialist hospitals and residential services. Our aim is to deliver effective and outcome based services within person centred, professional care environments. We support individuals with a learning disability, who are on the autistic spectrum or have mental or physical ill health. We set high standards for ourselves in the delivery of care, and most importantly, we put service users at the centre of everything we do.

David Gorman

David joined Danshell in February 2016 as an Occupational Therapist and works across several units in the south-east.

David qualified as a HCPC registered occupational therapist in 2015 following completion of a Masters course at London South Bank University. Upon completing his qualification David attained an MSc with Merit, having built a strong foundation of clinical knowledge and skills across a range of practice placements including learning disability and forensic services.

Whilst studying full time David also worked in a residential learning disability unit specialising in complex behaviour. During this time David was responsible for ensuring the health, safety and well-being of service users, supporting service users with activities of daily living and working collaboratively to promote independence.
