  • Inspire MeHollyhurst, a care home in Darlington has hosted its first Inspire Me Day this month and have had really positive feedback from the people they support and the staff team. The aim of the day was for everyone to work together and come up with fresh ideas of new activities to take part in. These would be for both in the community and within Hollyhurst, helping everyone to get inspired, have a go at activities they find interesting and try new things.

    We are delighted to announce that Wast Hills hospital in Kings Norton, Birmingham, has received Autism Accreditation from the National Autistic Society.  Wast Hills has demonstrated its commitment to understanding autism and that the hospital is setting the standard for autism practice.

We wanted to share her work with you all, as it’s such a fantastic way of ensuring someone is treated in the way they want to be treated, with their likes and dislikes respected, even when communication may be a barrier.
