Mel Ramsey - Chief Executive Officer

Mel Ramsey 2017Mel Ramsey is the Chief Executive Officer of the Danshell Group, having been appointed in April 2016.

Mel has a wide range of experience with more than 20 years within the healthcare sector. She joins Danshell from New Century Care, where she managed a business with 27 care homes, supporting more than 1200 people. Other roles include senior positions at Embrace Group and Craegmoor, part of the Priory Group.

A qualified nurse, Mel has significant experience developing and maintaining robust clinical governance systems and a proven track record in delivering market leading services in the sector.

Mel works alongside her fellow directors to ensure that Danshell continues to provide the very highest quality of care and support to service users.

Clynt Hall - Finance Director

Clynt Hall 2017Clynt is the Finance Director of Danshell Group, having been appointed in July 2016.

Clynt has extensive experience in senior finance roles and healthcare, having previously worked for Bupa's Care Services division, who at the time operated around 300 care homes and supported over 18,000 residents. Prior to that, Clynt worked for a number of other successful multi-site businesses.

As a qualified accountant, Clynt has had a wide range of experience leading finance teams and supporting businesses to enable them to grow and ultimately improve their financial performance.

Clynt is Dad to two young children, and enjoys spending his time outside of work having some quality time with his family.

Allan Bailey - Director of Quality and Governance

Allan joined Danshell in May 2017.

Allan is both a Registered Mental Health Nurse and a Specialist Community Practitioner. For the 2 years before he moved to Danshell, he held the position of Director of Nursing and Quality for a mid-size independent specialist group with services nationally across the UK. Prior to that, Allan served in the army for 15 years before training to become a nurse. Allan has extensive experience of working within a wide range of healthcare settings both within the NHS and the independent sector, having held senior management positions across both sectors.

Allan leads the governance team, enabling them to continue making a positive and significant impact on our quality and the lives of the people we support.

Marcus Foster - HR Director

Marcus Foster 2017Marcus is the HR Director of Danshell Group. Based in the York central support office, Marcus joined the company in October 2017.

Marcus has a wealth of experience, having begun his career in HR almost 20 years ago. He has a passion for all things people focussed, saying "I thrive in environments where people are truly treated and recognised as the key to business success".

Living in a very quiet village means Marcus spends his time outside work cycling, walking Sid the dog, and enjoying country life to the full.
