Dr Dale Lawrence was promoted to Group Medical Director in early 2018. She has been a core part of our clinical team for a number of years as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Midlands, and was a core part of the team that supported Wast Hills specialist autism hospital to achieve their Outstanding rating with the CQC, as well as the Autism Accreditation with the National Autistic Society.
Dale has been a psychiatrist for over 20 years and has worked extensively in her chosen field of learning disability psychiatry. Her specialist interests include forensic psychiatry, autism and dementia.
Dale won the Bill Lindsay Award for Outstanding Clinical Contribution at the 2017 Danshell Shining Star Staff Recognition Awards, which was hugely well deserved. She has supported our clinical and governance teams hugely over the years, including assisting with developing policies and procedures. She has been a Medical Appraiser for other clinicians and she is the Lead Investigator of Medical Practitioners.
She has published dementia research in The Lancet (Feb 2012) and contributed to Psychiatric Morbidity in Adults with Down’s Syndrome, a book published in September 2006. In 2011 she achieved an MBA in Health and Social Care.
