Efi is a successful entrepreneur in the UK healthcare industry with 20 years' experience in care sector development and operation. In 1994, Efi founded Forest Healthcare Limited which he grew from a single site development in Northwest London into a specialised healthcare group offering 14 facilities, managing over 850 beds and employing 1,000 staff. The portfolio included Ellern Mede Eating Disorder, a specialised adolescent eating disorder facility and the Borehamwood Care Village, one of the largest and most unique specialist care facilities in the UK with 178 beds and providing various categories of care under one roof. Forest was sold in 2007.
The Danshell Group was founded in 2010, following the purchase of Oakview Estates who provides treatment and care of young people, aged 12 to 18, detained under the Mental Health Act. In November 2011, the Group entered into a management agreement to run six care homes in Scotland, and in 2012, it acquired seven adult mental health facilities and one adolescent unit. In 2013 Efi expanded the Danshell Group further with the purchase of a further 22 facilities and since then has been the Chairman and the CEO of the Danshell Group.
